Metal for the UAE must withstand a set of conditions different from the majority of other markets. A specific group of issues occurs on sites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah where generic fabrication simply will not resolve the problem:

 Excessive and high temperatures and thermal expansion. If not fabricated for expansion tolerance, surface temperatures of unshaded metals can be above 60degC during the summer, which over time can lead to cracking of regular coatings and weakening of joints.

 The salty air and humidity near the coast particularly near Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali and Yas Island where untreated or poorly galvanised steel corrodes more rapidly.

 Sand and dust on flat or inclined metal surfaces, which over years of operation adds weight and stress to poorly welded joints.

 Rushing construction schedules such as when a fabricator can’t give a delivery date that is affecting the overall construction schedule.

 Unlicensed or unknown contractors. There are many clients in Dubai and Sharjah who have been cheated by companies without a trade licence, no contract signed and no means to enforce the warranty once the work is completed.

All structures are fabricated and finished to cater for the above, either hot dip galvanised or powder coated for coastal and desert use and every client is given the legal documentation to substantiate the work.
